DESCRIPTION

At the Pub Talk, Tamas Szabo will focus on the mobile wireless business which, is developing rapidly on a global scale. Coming from Europe with significant experience in mobile telephony as well as working closely with Nokia and Ericsson, Mr. Szabo will present a brief comparison of the wireless systems in Europe and the USA from both technical and business perspectives. Is the European wireless industry really way ahead of the American market? Mr. Szabo will also give a short introduction of KFKI Computer Group, one of Central Europe's largest IT companies which might be your gateway to Europe. He will also speak about the possibilities and benefits of cooperation in the fields of wireless, biotechnology, and offshore software development.

ABOUT TAMAS SZABO

Tamas Szabo is CEO and President of KFKI Systems, Inc., based in Burlingame, California. For the past 10 years, Mr. Szabo has been working for IQSoft (Hungary), a sister company of KFKI Systems. He has been Managing Director of IQSoft for the past four years, responsible for the daily operations of the company. During his time as Managing Director, the company doubled its revenue figures and significantly increased its profitability. Mr. Szabo started his career at IQSoft as an Oracle Sales Manager. He successfully introduced Oracle to the Hungarian software market, therefore, playing a key role in shaping the country's software industry. He then went on and repeated his success, this time spreading the use of Object Oriented technology in the Hungarian market. His leadership abilities coupled together with his accomplishments prompted him becoming Head of Application Development Department and later Managing Director. Early this year, Mr. Szabo initiated the founding of KFKI Systems, the US arm of the KFKI Group. His vision for the company is to become a major player in the software industry while leveraging the outstanding intellectual capacities of the organization's international pool of resources. Mr. Szabo still actively participates on the Board of KFKI Group and is a member of the Board of Directors of IQSoft. He was recently chosen as -- Independent Consultant of the Year -- by the Hungarian eBusiness magazine.
