"QUANTUM
BRIDGE COMMUNICATIONS: ACCESS AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT"
By Mr. Dung T. Ngo, Director, International
Business Development, Quantum Bridge Communications
5:00
– 7:00 p.m. Pub Talk begins at 6:00 p.m.
Open to the Public. Surprise: Special dignitaries at the Pub this
week.
Dung
T. Ngo will discuss delivering next-generation optical access networking
and how certain equipment can be designed to eliminate the bandwidth
bottlenecks that exist in the public network's first mile. The continued
deployment of fiber optic technologies in the network backbone has
both service providers and business customers excited about the
prospect of utilizing the bandwidth-intensive applications that
will change the way we do business. This promise, however, will
never be realized without an optical first mile capable of effectively
delivering these high-bandwidth service offerings to customers over
the most congested piece of the public network.
ABOUT
QUANTUM BRIDGE
Founded
in October 1998, Quantum Bridge is pioneering the development of
Optical Access Networking equipment that will enable telecommunications
service providers to cost-effectively deliver high-bandwidth services
to business customers. Optical Access Networking is a breakthrough
technology which empowers service providers with the scaleable,
high-speed network required for the cost-effective delivery of new
business services such as VPNs, application outsourcing, e-commerce
and web hosting. By delivering an optical first mile solution directly
to the business customer over a low cost, easily managed passive
optical infrastructure, service providers can finally deploy next-generation
business services at price points that make sense for their customers,
as well as for themselves.
