Come join us in for this Challenge-the-Expert Program which will bring leaders in the Web 2.0 and enterprise space together with our innovation community to explore the “homeruns” for enterprise-level business solutions based on Web 2.0 technologies and philosophies. We thank SAP for its sponsorship of this program.

We recognize that “Web 2.0” – that is, the next generation of the Web -- is a fuzzy concept, promising more effective collaboration, adaptation and integration. As we look to Web 2.0 technologies and solutions, we can envision new paradigms for interaction among users, services and devices. Web 2.0 also embodies a new mindset for application users, developers, assemblers and administrators, a mindset oriented towards building communities that share code and experience, experimenting and evolving rapidly. Even for enterprise environments, there is emerging interest in rich interactive clients, collaborative development and evaluation, social networking, semantic web, accelerated deployment, adaptive integration frameworks, and web feeds. Join us in challenging our experts and in sharing your views about the requirements, challenges and benefits of Web 2.0 technologies and solutions in the enterprise space.

Key Themes for our Discussion

  • Which problems do Web 2.0 technologies address well for enterprises?
  • Are these technologies a good way to solve those problems?
  • Which Web 2.0 capabilities are enterprise customers requesting?
  • What competitive opportunities and threats do you see based on Web 2.0?
  • In what timeframe?
  • Which emerging technologies and methodologies associated with Web 2.0 do you believe will be significant for enterprises, and which do you believe are not appropriate for enterprise environments?
  • Are companies taking actions to understand and introduce Web 2.0 technologies, and how high a priority is adoption of such technologies?
  • What are the barriers to adoption of Web 2.0 solutions at the enterprise level?
  • How can the industry help you surmount these barriers?
