Due to the success and positive feedback received from those who attended the P2P Panel on July 28th in the Vintage Room, the Center is having a Pub Talk this week on P2P. At this Pub, come hear and engage in an interactive dialogue with Mr. Juan Soto who will be discussing Sun's JTXA project and vision for P2P for the next 12-18 months.

Project JTXA (http://www.jxta.org) started as a research project incubated at Sun Microsystems, Inc. (http://www.sun.com) under the guidance of Bill Joy and Mike Clary to explore new styles of distributed computing. Now Project JXTA is an open source effort with a vision to enable developers to create innovative services and applications. Project JXTA addresses the need for an open, generalized protocol that interoperates with any peer on the network including PCs, servers and other connected devices.
